Yes, our service is free to use and will cost you nothing. Just like any broker, we get paid by the lender for processing your mortgage application. This fee will always be communicated to you by one of our advisors when they select the lender. The commission is paid by the lender to the advisor directly. We are independent from the lenders and we are committed and equipped to not only find you the best rate but also the mortgage that suits you best. Since we offer larger volumes to the bank we negotiate the best rates on your behalf, so using our service is a win-win.

We pride ourselves in being different from the average mortgage broker. After our founder got the wrong mortgage product through another broker due to intransparency, unnecessary complexity and no simple explanations he set out to change how mortgages are recommended. At Hypofriend we use technology to calculate the optimal mortgage for our customers. We ask our customers a number of questions around their financial situation and future. This information is fed into a recommendation engine which compares different situations over time. We then recommend the optimal mortgage product, based on this we go into the mortgage marketplace and find a lender that offers this product at the lowest price. Our technology allows our customers to easily check what they can afford, apply online and upload and verify their documents without having to come to our local offices.

Besides being integrated with over 750 lenders we also have a strong network of local banks across Germany. Whilst our recommendation engine ensures that you receive truly objective mortgage advice we will then go on to scan all of our partners to see where we can get you the right product at the best price. Depending on your case, it may require additional document verification which you can do online in your Hypofriend account.
