German Mortgages Explained

How high are my costs when owning a property?

Ownership costs in Germany are generally dependent on the property itself, including the heating, electricity and property taxes. The following rule holds true in almost all cases; the total costs are a maximum of 3,00€ per square meter. For example, all costs such as "wohngeld" and "grundsteuer" and heating for a 100 square meter apartment would be 300 euro per month.
